Do not try to wipe it off if it is hot, use ice to harden it, it should pop off with blunt edge of a credit card etc, could use a knife but you could cut the tablecloth, wash with oil soap.
Cool the wax with ice then when brittle it will scrape off with wood spoon. Then buff with a soft cotton cloth.
