There are a few ways to get selected for Delta training. They send out Army-wide advertisements twice a year and you can respond to those. They can personally send someone to recruit you if you have a skill they need, such as a rare language. Most Delta recruits are Ranger and Special Forces veterans with several years of experience. If you are deadset on getting into Delta, then join the Army, be the best in your basic training class, join the Rangers or Special Forces, and work to be the best in your selection and training classes. After a good amount of time in those units, then you might be able to go to Delta selection. Most Delta shooters are in their early to mid-thirties, with years of special operations experience under their belt.

∙ 12y agoFirst you have to pass basic training and excel. Then apply and go through the selective process. Some are picked to TRY and complete the course. Most are not.

∙ 13y agoYou cannot apply to be Delta, as they are the ones who recruit you. So be all you can be and maybe you will be chosen to TRY to be Delta.
