Artificial nails are typically applied with a cyano-acrylate adhesive. That can be dissolved with acetone (fingernail polish remover). You probably won't die from taking a cotton ball and acetone and cleaning your teeth.
If you don't like the taste of acetone, you should take your teeth to a dentist and have the removal done professionally.
