How do you get over fights in relationships? |
[Edit] |
I find that discussing the issues is what helps me. We each state our opinion and then we talk about each others' opinions and how they relate to us and the issue. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree. It is important to remember not to call names or be dismissive. Make sure each of you really understands what is at issue. Then a person can change their ways or apologize or not and you just get on with your life. Sometimes you have to decide whether the issue is important enough to end a relationship or not. Compromise is good but not when it comes to compromising your principles. Don't forget to make up. Don't go to bed angry. I've been married 26+ years and this is what helps us.
