This is a tough one, but the best method is using a paper towel. Heat an iron to medium hot and then place a piece of paper toweling over the red candle stain and place the iron on top for approx. 15 seconds. You will usually see the red seeping through onto the paper toweling. You may have to do this several times. Then you can use "Dawn dish sap" with hot water and use a tooth brush (if the candle spot is small) or a larger brush to scrub the area to get any excess off. The method of the iron and paper towel are excellent to get candle wax off of carpeting as well.
