Strange remedy i got from adapting info from the internet.

Wash hands before touching cold sores, or you can infect them.

1. Clean flannel in hot and soapy water (hotter the better). Gently hold over cold sores, but don't rub too hard or you'll irritate them.

2. Wash hands thoroughly.

3. Small dab of bio oil on sore - try to use different fingers for multiple sores, or you'll just spread the infection.

4. Large blob of petroleum jelly on sores, working from outward in (so you don't spread them).

5. Wash hands thoroughly.

6. DON'T TOUCH OR ITCH.

7. Wait 1 or 2 hours.

8. Repeat.

Smile :)

1) Eat and drink lots of vitamins and nutrients, but nothing too faty.

2) Unblock your nose and try to take a nap.

3) Breathe steadily, and don't move around too much. You need to rest.

4) Boil the skin of potatoes, put a towel over your head and the pan, and

breathe. [ Inhale warm, damp air].

5) Soak the palms of your feet in luke/hot water, or take a relaxed hot bath or

shower. If bath/shower, but a bit of Vic in the water , or on the basin of the

shower.

6) Drink lots ! Milk with butter and honey soothes down the throat.

7) This may sound unusual, but drink ' Onion Tea ' to unblock your respiratory

system.

8) If not cured in 1 week, go see your local doctor.

There is no way to get rid of a cold sore once it has started. Sometimes if you "catch" it just as it begins and put Neosporin on it that will work. A cold sore is caused by the herpes simplex virus and it will stay once started. Over the counter creams will work and one home remedies suggests a wet tea bag on it.

However, the benefits of these medications are minimal. (Aspirin should not be given to children under the age of 18 because of its link to Reye's syndrome, a disorder that mostly affects children 4 to 12 years old and causes brain damage and death.)Sore throat sprays and lozenges to soothe your throat and numb the throat pain temporarily.Decongestant nasal sprays to relieve a sore throat caused by postnasal drip -- nasal drainage that runs down your throat. Can you eat watermelon if you have a sore throat?

In my experience my colds and sore throats always worsened after eating watermelon. I wouldn't recommend it. Just when you have a cold or sore throat take 1000mg vitamin C three times a day along with echinacea capsules and you will recover in 3-4 days then once you've recovered eat the watermelon.

How long does it take for the sore throat to go away after having your wisdom teeth extracted?

AnswerIf you wisdom teeth were way back, you might have a sore throat, because the healing is happening back there and the pain will last a few days to a week. But the sore throat can also be related to a cold that you are having at the same time.AnswerI was 30 years old (very healthy) and I didn't have a sore throat, with my wisdom teeth extraction, but did feel like I had the flu. My head, body, ears, and lymph nodes ached for 3 days afterward. Antibiotics, sleep, and a cold pack for exterior swelling/discomfort are *key*.

How do you make colds worse?

The main thing you want to do with a cold sore is dry it out. Try not to get the area of the cold sore wet! Drying out the cold sore will make it disappear in as short a time as 3 days, and thinking that they can last 2 weeks+ that's a good time to wait. What I use to dry out a cold sore is Mouthwash! Just get a piece of kitchen/toilet paper (a clean piece of course) and put the paper (folded up to make it thicker) over the top of the mouthwash bottle and then turn it all over so the mouth wash pours on the paper cleanly. Then, hold the mouthwash soaked paper on the cold sore. Do NOT move it around or take it off for at least 1-2 minutes as this will spread the cold sore to other areas around the face. Repeat this process every 2-4 hours and the cold sore should dry out. This method of drying the cold sore out can after removal of the paper begin to sting or you may get a throbbing sensation, although the outcome is totally worth it!

How do you get rid of a cold sore on your tongue?

Well If you have a cold sore alot of times they have ointments to stop the pain ! But to heal the bump you should put a piece of ice and hold it to the sore for 20 minutes. After that put a thin layer of Vaseline on there ! do that a few times a day. At night put a nice big layer of Vaseline on there. It should go away in about 3 days! If its a bump and not a cold sore the use toothpaste or rubbing alcohol to help dry it up ! That will take 2-3 days! That works alot better than popping the bump.
