i would just say, rinse with salt+water, remember to keep the ring it, clean it regularly, don't touch it, get medical treatment if nesecary, and that's about it really, theres more ways tho
NEVER take the piercing out until the infection has been handled. For best results, visit a professional piercer or doctor if you cannot access a piercing studio.
Do NOT take the jewelry out. That could cause it to close and the infection to spread. Do Sea-salt soaks. 1/4 tsp SEA salt in 8 oz. warm water. Make sure you clean the inside of your mouth as well.
You could: a) Return to the people who pierced your lip for advice - if they're licensed, they should have access to antiseptics, and have the proper knowledge to clear it up or; b) Go see your GP....
It depends on the type of infection - you could ask at a Health Food Shop/chemist about your particular problem and ask them how many days to wait to see if things improve before seeing a doctor....
