Answer

These bumps are VERY common in new piercings if your piercing becomes knocked or removed in anyway. It's common for new piercings to get caught on something or jarred in sleep. These will heal on their own, but using a sea salt soak twice daily on top of your usual cleaning routine should help it heal. As always, follow all directions given to you by your piercer!

Answer

not all the time.... if you are wearing silver.... u def. should replace it with 14kt gold... titanium...or surgical stainless steel.. i had the same problem.. and it was from those cheap sterling silver rings... i changed to 14kt gold studs and the bumps went away really fast without leaving a scar.... so it might be your jewelry causing the bumps...

Answer

The same thing just happened to mine and my piercer had told me to take Chamomile tea bags and mix it with hot water, as if you were making tea. Once the bag cools down enough just put it on your nose like a compress. They said to do that 2 times a day for 2 weeks and it will go away. I've done it 2 times a day for 5 days so far, and I've already noticed a difference in the size of the bump...he also advised to not play with it because it is a build up of scar tissue and the more it is messed with, the bigger the bump will get.

Answer

Don't touch it too much. If you must touch the piercing, wash your hands. Don't pick off crusties unless you soften them with warm water first. Messing with the piercing too much can cause these bumps. Leave it alone, clean once or twice a day, and let it heal.

Another couple things to do: crush up ibuprofen or aspirin tablets, mix it with water so its a liquidy paste and put it on ur nose b4 bed. 2 days on, 1 day off. this dries it out and the infection should go away.

soak ur nose a few times a day in a warm sea salt solution

tea tree oil also helps to dry it out. but I've found that the aspirin works the best

Things NOT to do: do not use Bactine or neosporin.

Answer

I just called my piercer yesterday because I am going through the same thing right now and she advised that before you go to bed (with clean hands) put a drop of water in my palm and add salt until it becomes a paste. When it becomes a paste you should dab it on the piercing and bump. If you have sensitive skin you should do it every other day for a week and it will go away eventually because the salt serves to extract the fluids that are in the bump. It might look like a scab at some point but DON'T pick at it.

ANSWER

I've had the same problem, what I got told to do is... with gloves on remove the piercing, using a cotton tip firmly push around the "bubble" until it bleeds and you can see another fluid coming out of it (which is the infection) then with a clean cotton tip put a thick layer of ACTIVE 5+ MANUKA HONEY(you can buy that in any health food stores or chemists) over the hole and the "bubble" then clean the nose jewellery and put it back in :) this helped me and got rid of the "bubble" on my nose in about 3 days. If this doesn't work then I suggest bathing the piercing in sea salt :)

How do you get rid of the nubs of the teared belly piercing?

Well first you stop using what ever it is you are using to clean the piercing, what ever you have been using is causing the bumps or nubs as you call them to appear. Irrigate the piercing under warm running water in the shower and leave it alone, within a few days the piercing should start to get better. By the way it's a navel piercing not a belly piercing.

Get some chamomile tea, and basically make a cup of hot tea. Then hold the teabag up to your nose like a compress. You'll want the water as hot as you can stand it, but don't burn yourself. Do this once or twice a day. Remember: Don't pick at it, play with it, or move it too much. Puss is an indication that something needs to be done, the color indicates the severity of the issue white means you should be washing your piercing daily in the shower. Green you have and infection and really need to clean the piercing with soap and water daily to resolve the issue. Tea bags and woo woo magic is a waste of time wash the piercing in the shower with anti bacterial soap and rinse with lots of warm running water.
