I wouldn't think PVC would attract the calcium particles, at least not to the extent you're talking about. On the other hand, the metal pipes in your faucet will. Try cleaning the faucet first. If you find you have calcium buildup in your faucet, you can either try cleaning it with a product called CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust) or simply replace it. Good luck.

∙ 12y agoMust be very hard water for build up in pvc. It may be only at the valve, the minerals tend to concentrate at connections and where the water come in contact with metal. You can shut the main water off and take the valve apart, run a wire through it to break up the deposit. If the whole line is clogged, all you can do is replace it. If it is only the one faucet, it is probably the valve or the faucet itself. Some clog quicker than others.
