How do you get rid of canker sores?

Answer:
Try mixing a bit of salt with very warm water and slosh it around the part of your mouth in the spot were it is twice a day. This doesn't get rid of it right away, but it helps a little. Mostly, just be patient and try to bear the pain. Avoid fried or sugary foods.
Canker sores usually last for a week to 10 days. They are annoying and generally go away on their own. They can be caused by stress, or even certain foods, such as citrus fruits.
If a sore is unusually painfull or large, a dentist may prescribe an antimicrobial mouth rinse, a corticosteroid ointment, or a prescription or nonprescription solution to reduce the pain and irritation.
