I had the same problem. I had to remove the bulb (careful not to touch it with your fingers). Then I took a piece of cardboard and rollied it into a cone-shaped tube. I taped it one end to a hair dryer and inserted the other end into the hole where the bulb goes and left it on for about 15 minutes. Make sure all of the moisture is gone and be sure to seal the boot that covers the bulb so moisture does not get in.

Once you have the entire assembly slid forward you can remove the light socket from the back of the assembly and change the bulb.
