It depends on what you are trying to remove it from. Vinegar works well in things like fridges, garbage cans, and counter tops. If it is the air that smells, it is best to find the source of the smell and clean that.
i have heard that if you put ground coffee in a purse that it gets rid of the fishy odor. but im not sure how long to leave it in for.
