If it does it more whilst reversing then on my C4 GP it was a problem with shape of rear brake pad , the pad had a lip on it which was a bad design.Took it to a Citroen franchise who admitted the fault but refused to swap pads under warranty. Citroen stopped this by greasing the pads (some thing to be done by professionals no doubt) the squeal then went away. However on changing the rear pads when needed the noise immediately returned. I took the car back to the local High street chain who had just replaced them and after pointing out the pads were not compatible they replaced them with a similar type. The manager looked this up on his system and a correct type of pad was listed.
