The seeds are on the out side of the strawberry.

The seeds are called achenes and are actually the fruit. The strawberry itself is a ripened ovary. Some books claim that it is the receptacle, but that is incorrect. Trying to grow strawberries from seed is a fruitless endeavor. They are hybrids crossed from an American and European strain. The best way to have strawberries is to buy certified plants from your local nursery.

ANSWER:Just simply find something with a small tip and use it to pluck the seeds from the fruit and then find a small container with soil to plant the seeds in. Plant about 15-20 seeds for a better chance for more to grow. Then once the plant is larger than 4in., plant it in your garden! later on you'll find yourself with some delicious strawberries!

Get a strawberry fruit and take away its crown.

Look under the crown, you could see tiny black things, those are the seeds.

Choose big ones then carefully pull them off the crown

Put the seeds on a ziplock bag if you wish to store them for later use.

* Plant in the spring as soon as the soil is dry enough to be worked. or in late fall * Be sure you have certified disease free plants * Select plants with large crowns with healthy, light-colored roots * Amend soil with 1-2 inches of organic matter like compost or well rotted manure * Keep weeds from competing with your strawberry plants * Make a hole large enough to spread the roots. Hill the center of the hole and place the crown at soil level. Spread the roots downward on the hill. Bury the plant so that the soil only goes half way up the crown. they do better if you plant them in bunches of about 30 to a mound. The mound should be raised about 4 inches and 2 feet by 1 foot. This makes them compete for space and produce more. FALL PLANTS: If you plant strawberries in the fall they must be potted plants. Do not attempt to plant bare-rooted plants in the fall, they will not survive the winter. Garden Harvest Supply is a good source for potted strawberry plants for fall planting.

Put a couple of ripe raspberries in a sieve or strainer, and wash off the pulp. Dry the seeds before storage. Raspberries are not normally grown from seed, but are easy to start and will do very well.

Raspberries are grown by planting the canes, not the seeds. You can get raspberry plants from a garden center or catalog.

You should buy runners from your local nursery or you can buy the seeds from a garden store. The best way is to plant them in raised beds and make sure they have at least 6 hours of sunlight. Always ensure that they have sufficient amount of water.
