A few things can cause the metal taste. If you are under medication could be a particular medicine, a gum infection or simple lack of calcium in your body. If you have had it for about three days straight its time to see a doctor.

∙ 14y agoIt depends what is causing the metallic taste, it can be caused by some medications, cavities in your teeth, acid reflux or heartburn. Using blocks under the head of your bed to lift the bed to a 15 to 25 degree angle will help reflux and may help heartburn as well. See your MD or midwife about possible chemicals that cause this, Chewing Gum with a strong flavor like cinnamon sometimes helps.
