No, it doesn't. Shorter hair often seems thicker so, when you cut your hair it may feel thicker, but it's not. Also when the ends of your hair are even this makes your hair feel thicker.
It will not make your hair thicker or thinner. it will only do that if you over process your hair.

This is not true. More hair will give you thicker hair, but not longer.
Darker hair is not always thicker and courser than blonde hair. Some blond hair is also thick and course, especially if it has been chemically treated.
