You can probably find all the maps you need in a convenience store in Bracebridge.

The most straightforward way to get to Nova Scotia is to follow the Trans Canada Highway. (I have a few favourite shortcuts, but you'd probably get lost trying to follow them.)

By the way, parlez-vous francais? If not, travelling through Quebec will be frustrating because all the road signs are in French, and many people who work in convenience stores and restaurants don't (or won't) speak English.

You might want to consider crossing into the USA to get to New Brunswick, and pick up the Trans Canada once you get there.

You can usually buy maps wherever you stop for fuel. But here's a tip: if you ask for directions, do so before you fuel-up. Some people who work in convenience stores are quite knowledgeable, while others have trouble finding their own driveway. You might have to try two or three places to get good directions.

Check googlemaps,,,mapquest,,,yahoomaps,,etc..........

What is the Legal age to visit Nova Scotia without adults?

There isn't one... Obviously you need to be able to take care of yourself if you aren't going to be with an adult, but that depends on the person, not their age. I myself have wandered the lands of Nova Scotia during summers without any adult supervision since age 10. Most people feel that 15 is an acceptable age to take care of yourself.
