To get abs in a week is a mission. And will also give you nasty looking abs. Getting abs in 2 weeks is much better and safer and will give you beautiful abs. Ok first you need to sort out your diet. Eat more carbs, proteins, veggies and fruit. DO NOT drink soda or eat any fried fast food. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Stay away from fatty foods and sugar. Do jumping jacks, press ups and skipping for 20 mins. Do 3 miles of running. Then do 20 reps of situps, crunches, reverse crunches, leg raises and bicycles. Increase the reps over time. You should have a six pack in 2 weeks. If you are fat, then do 40 mins of jumping jacks, etc.

You exercise everyday for an hour. Excercises could be swimming freestyle or jogging around your block a couple of times or get some weights and start working out and eat well.

sit ups or tae bo Another answer: You could do crunches every day. An easier way is by sucking in your stomach. Everyday hold your stomach in for 100 seconds and you'll see some improvement within a week. It's a nifty trick because if your sitting around doing nothing you can do this exercise. I know this works with stomachs that are pudgy and need to be toned.

The two week time-line does not make a great deal of difference as the best method is the same whether you are thinking "in two weeks" or "two years". Ultimately you can't make your body do something in a particular time period if it is not built that way. So the length of time for this to happen for you is not something you have a great deal of control over - though to some extent working harder may speed it up but their are limits on this.

By "tone" I assume you mean less fat and more muscle size and definition.

Firstly a calorie controlled diet is necessary. calculate your BMR basal metabolic rate (amount of calories consumed each day), which can be done online as a number of sites have good calculators. Once you know this, you simply eat fewer calories than you burn each day.

Second is cardio training. Running, cycling, swimming are all great. Do this for at least an hour a few times a week (no less than three).

Finally, building muscle around your mid-section. do resistance training on this group of muscles once (6/7 sets of 8-12 reps) or twice (4/5 sets of 8-12 reps) a week.

Hey you need to go find a pull up bar or go to a gym and find a leg raise machine. You rest your elbows on the bars and raise your legs straight out to chest level. Doing this avoids the muffin top affect and works all of your abs. If you look on YouTube for leg raise exercises you will find some great videos and more in depth ones. Crunches and situps work okay but when you work your upper abs too much they being to get a muffin top affect and make you look fat unless u are flexing I had this problem. I am 14 and a Weightlifting enthusiast.

If you are overweight, you don't simply do that. There is no magical trick that I can give you to help you with this and it is incredibly hard to even get a toned stomach with a long diet. The best you can do is to start a wise, slow diet.

You don't. One week is a ridiculously low amount of time to even wish such a weight loss where you get a fat percentage so low that your abdominal muscles would show up. You need a good diet and at least 8 weeks to achieve 'toned abs' and that depends on your current amount of body fat.

Do allot of sit-ups every day to get a more toned stomach. To tone your thighs you could try lunges. I got my ideas from my clubland exercise DVD it works for me. :)
