How do you get transmission fluid out of clothes?

Answer

Oil and polyester bond together chemically and the resulting stain is permanent, however...

Most other fabrics can be soaked in detergent to release the stain. Keep the fabric wet for a couple days with a solution of a good, strong laundry detergent, then periodically scrub at the stain to remove it. Use a laundry scrub brus for that part.

You may need to mark the stain with a safety pin so that it will show up after the fabric is wet. You'll want to do that so that you can find it and scrub on it.
