How do you get your Neopets painted magma?

things to know before trying your luck at the magma pool:
you can only take any one pet for a swim(aka as paint it magma) per week. if you wish to make all your pets magma, you must wait a week after the first pet has been painted before trying again.

you cannot buy a paintbrush nor morphing potion, or even a magical plushie to have your pet painted magma.

the only ways to get a magma pet are listed below. (please dont copy this info and paste it somewhere else! but you are free to test these methods)

there are three ways to gain access to the magma pool.

the petpet creating method is to make a petpet albot as mentioned below, or complete the worm quest. warning: this method is not confirmed. i would suggest not to take this method, unless you wanted a petpet albot anyway. (perhaps finding the materials would help)

the riskiest way and priciest is to use the lab ray. warning: it is not guaranteed you will get a magma pet. possible outcomes are: any colour available, gender change, stat change. if you already gained access to the lab ray, and have the patience to wait(maybe forever) then take this step. if you have not gained access, please take not this step is very expensive. i would not recommend it unless you are well funded and have researched about zapping pets.

the harder way but is free is to simply go to the magma pool randomly.

i did not do any quests nor make any petpets, but i still gained access
so, if youre lucky, youll be the next proud owner of a magma pet!

common mistakes:
buying something somebody claims will improve or get you access to the magma pool.
this is not true and a scam. currently, nothing can be bought to improve your chances.

someone tells you there's a time that the guard is sleeping.
again, this is not true. the time the guard is sleeping is completely random.

you can refresh repeatedly at the magma pool if you wish, but i do not know if that will gain you access. i only checked once a day.

it is random, there are no special times but sometimes the guard may be asleep by the magma pool, if he is asleep you can choose one pet to be painted magma( i believe that that is 6:00 nst). i believe you can do this once a week. the guard may also welcome you are skilled in the way of moltara. You may get to do this if you make the petpet albot by the materials (not sure if it will work when the items are bought)(you will get the materials in the dark cave in the topmost-right of "Moltara Caves". you can also get your pet zapped by the lab ray and turned magma, but remember there are many risks when using the lab ray.
