Yes. There are lots of things in Sesame Street that children would not realise are funny, like skits on famous people or stereotypes. Adults would notice these things. Sesame Street has been around for a long time, so for some adults it is a part of their childhood that they like to see again. Sesame Street is made by adults. So for these and other reasons, while it is mainly for children, adults can watch and enjoy Sesame Street.
Ernie and Bert were characters on the children's show Sesame Street. Sesame Street started in 1969 and still regularly appears on children's television channels today.
