How do you go about getting a hit and run driver's insurance company to pay when they are refusing to do so?

If you have a name/plate/make/mode/ etc, contact your local police, hit and runs are against the law in any state. The police will get the info you need....Wait a minute, are you saying you have all this info and the at fault drivers ins is refuseing to pay? In that case please advise what is their reason for denial? The have to tell you the reasons they are denying the claim, once I know the reason I can be of greater assistance. If you don't wish to give that contact the Dept of Ins for your state and file a complaint, again they HAVE to respond to all complaints and it is very time sensative.
