It's said that lemon juice added at last minute while cooking makes the shell come off a lot easier. My dad uses this method every time he cooks them and i think it works. Just test it out because you wouldn't want to add to much, because it would over power the shrimp. Remember that the shrimp should only be cooked a very short period of time, approximately 4 to 5 minutes. It is best to spread them out as soon as they are removed from the heat source and do not let them soak in the water. A cookie sheet or paper covered table will stop them from overcooking and becoming "sticky" inside the shell. If these are not handy, put some ice on them as soon as they are done and they peel very nicely.
To easily peel a hard boiled egg, add 2-3 teaspoons of baking soda to the water used to boil the eggs.
Use enough water to cover the eggs, boil for exactly 12 minutes, and then pour off the boiled water and replace with cold tap water. add as many ice cubes as you can to cool off the eggs. Wait 2 minutes and then peel.
A bit more infoThe older the egg, the easier they peel. An egg fresh from the chicken is very nearly impossible to peel, fortunately the eggs you buy in the local grocery store is at least 10 days old. An egg of two weeks old is the easiest to peel, but all of the above info will certainly help you to get a near perfect result.Boil it enough so that the shell cracks slightly open OR after boiling, crack it a little bit. Then let it soak in cold water for a few minutes. The water will seep between the egg and the shell and it should peel right off.
You can cook shrimp pretty much any way you like. You need to make sure that the shrimp turn from gray to pink before you eat them. The skin is tough, so you probably want to take the skin off.
FOR SOME TIME LATELY I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH BOILED SHRIMP THAT IS HARD TO PEEL. I HAVE HEARD ALL OF THE WAYS TO PREVENT THE SHELL FROM STICKING TO THE MEAT.
I'VE BEEN TOLD THE SHRIMP ARE TOO OLD,TOO FRESH ,THEY NEED TO BE FROZEN AND THEN THAWED, THEY WERE COOKED TOO LONG, ADD BUTTER, ADD OIL(THIS ACTUALLY HELPED)(use about 1/2 cup to large pot).
I CATCH MY OWN GULF SHRIMP, SO I KNOW HOW OLD THEY ARE, ETC.
I'M 72 YRS OLD AND IT DAWNED ON ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM WHEN I YOUNGER.
IT SEEMS THAT MY PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I USED THE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SEASONING JAR. THEY ALL SAY TO COOK NO MORE THAN 3 MINS.
WELL I WENT BACK TO BOILING THE WATER AND SEASONING AND ADDING THE SHRIMP AND COOK FOR ANOTHER 15 MINS.
THE SHELLS COME OFF VERY EASY AND THE SHRIMP ARE IN NO WAY OVER COOKED.

You have to boil them for a certain amount of time (I would recomend 8-10 mins.) on high to medium heat.
cold water
For hard boiled, eggs, yes.
boiled eggs bounce better than raw eggs because the raw egg has a thinner membrane than that of a boiled egg making it easier to break
Actually scrambled eggs are more popular than hard boiled eggs and soft boiled eggs. And hard boiled eggs are as popular as soft boiled eggs
yes, its easier and healthier to eat the whites in stead of sunny- side up.

If you are having trouble peeling a hard boiled egg (that thin membrane is not coming off of the shiny egg white, thus making the shell come off in very small pieces and it's taking forever), chances are the egg meat has not shrunk away from the shell. This can usually be solved by placing the hard boiled egg in ice water for a few minutes so the meat will contract.
Yes, whole eggs can be hard boiled.
This is a fairly minor point of usage, but if you say hard boiled eggs you could be interpretted as saying that the eggs are both hard and boiled, when what you really mean is that the eggs were hard-boiled, which is to say, boiled for a longer time than they would be if you wanted soft-boiled eggs. So you can use the hyphen.
Hard boiled eggs! Only missing one layer!
Oatmeal, Fresh berries, yogurt, boiled eggs, Fresh fruits
only if they are boiled .... OUR CHICKENS LAY EGGS ( from a diff person to the boiled eggs )
Yes, because there are flatter spots on the shells. It is easier when the eggs are hard-boiled, so the yolks don't shift around.
