How do you have better traceability of files in computer? |
By "traceability", do you mean the ability to easily locate files you have created, downloaded, saved?
If so, if I have no idea where the file is, I use Windows explorer's SEARCH utility. You can search on a file name (wildcards accepted). Search for all files called susan.*
You can also search on these criteria:
1. file contains this text: car maintenance (try to use unique words)
2. date (specific date or from X date to X date)
3. file types (find all jpg files)
