First you preheat oven to 350 degrees and set your timer for 35-40 minutes. Then cover with foil or lid, this will assure that the ham is thoroughly cooked throughout. Note: Honey Baked Hams are precooked so your only reheating them. Enjoy!

It doesn't matter. Precooked ham is precooked ham, you don't have to worry about bacteria or anything so it's a matter of personal preference. i recommend just throwing it in the microwave for a minut and a half.

---

Bacteria can and does grow on all food, cooked or not. If you use the microwave the Health dept. would say heat it to 165F (internal temp). The same goes for any reheated product; it must reach 165F to be safe. Keeping food in the refrigerator slows bacteria growth, does not kill it. There is a bacteria (name?) that can grow in the refrigerator on such things as Hot Dogs and sliced meat, it caused problems for chidlren as some were fed hot dogs straight out of the package. So heat the ham to 165F to be sure.

Honey-baked hams require no additional heating; I recommend that you remove your ham from refrigeration 30 minutes prior to your meal and serve at room temperature.

A Honey Baked Ham is thawed by putting in in the refrigerator for 24 hours. This allows it to come up to temperature very slowly.

Why cook a precooked ham?

It is not necessary to cook a pre-cooked ham. A pre-cooked ham is good at room temperature, so you can leave it set out for an hour before serving. However, if you do decide to heat up your pre-cooked ham, just make sure you wrap it in tin foil, and watch it closely because you don't want your ham to dry out.

How do you cook an 8 pound precooked spiral cut ham and do you suppose to add water in the pan?

Since your ham is precooked, all you have to do is cover it with foil and warm it up at 325 degrees for about 60 to 90 minutes. If you want the outside browned, just take the foil off the last ten minutes and raise the heat to 350-375. It will not dry out because most hams are injected with lots of water at the packing plant. Now, if you want your ham to taste out-of-this-world delicious, here's how I did it when I was a professional cook. Mix together: the juice from 1-15oz can of pineapples, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 4 teaspoons ground cloves. Slather the mixture all over your ham and in between any slices you can get it in to. Cook the same as above. Save the juice for gravy or just spoon it on your ham and mashed potatoes. I guarantee you will love it.

What should the internal temperature of a baked ham be?

For an uncooked ham the temperature needs to be 160 degrees. Personally, I find that removing the ham from the oven when the temperature reaches 155 degrees, and letting the ham rest for 15 minutes produces a better product. The internal temperature will rise the extra 5 degrees while resting and allows the juices to become more evenly distributed. If the ham is partially or fully cooked, the internal temperature need only be raised to 135 - 140 degrees.

How do you heat a farmer john ham?

This depends on how large the ham is. If the ham is already cooked, you are just looking to warm it up. Figure if the ham is around 10 pounds, it should take approximately an hour to warm up.

Can you cook a roast pork and spiral ham at same time?

All you're really trying to do is to heat the ham through so time will depend alot on how much ham you want to heat up. For a small ham, figure 1 1/2 hrs @ 375 along with the potatoes. The larger the ham the longer the time but put the potatoes in 90 minutes before taking the ham out. Let the ham "rest" for 20 minutes after removing it from the oven. And keep it basted while cooking so it doesn't dry out the outer layer.

How long do you bake a fricks fully cooked bone in ham 24 lbs?

Since the ham is already fully cooked, you only need to heat it up to the desired temperature which takes about ten minutes per pound. Oven at 350 degrees. 160 degrees is the serving temperature for ham served on a plate. Sandwich slices of ham, spiral sliced hams for example, are good hot or cold, so you can knock that cooking time down to 5-7 minutes per pound for ham sammies.
