How do you help a guy get over a girl he thinks he loves but she doesn't deserve to be loved by him?

Whoa. It's the "she doesn't deserve to be loved by him" part that derails the question a bit. There seems to be more going on than a selfless attempt to help a guy friend. That's ok; our motives are often a mixed bag. But be clear about it. Do you want to: get him to join you in a bashing session? or get him to like (love) you instead? get him to help you feel better about the fact, maybe, that she rejected you?

Things are often not quite the way they seem to be. Just be friends, and don't fear letting your thoughts, feelings AND motives show a little. These girl-boy things have strange and unexpected ways of working out.
