It depnds on the television. Virtually all telelvisions will have external video inputs. You need to check the inputs on the television or in the manual. If you have a DVI or HDMI output from your computer, it may connect directly to the DVI or HDMI input. It's worth noting that the signals are compatible, so it you have a DVI output on the computer and an HDMI input on the television, a DVI to HDMI lead will work fine. If you only have a VGA output from the computer, you will need a VGA input to the television. The majority have them but not all. All LCD and plasma televisions have a native resolution - 1920 x 1080 is the common one but it might vary. For best results, always set the PC to the same resolution. A final point: Plasma screens, and to a lesser extent, LCD screens can both suffer from images being "burnt" onto the screen. Avoid using a static computer image for long periods of time to avoid this happening.

∙ 13y agoif you have a really new computer it will probably have a HDMI (high definition) if you have a laptop there will probably be a projector plug
heres what you need below
- an RGB to RCA Or RGB to s- video cord NOTE: you can buy these at Future Shop
- a RGB video splitter NOTE: you dont need this if you have a laptop
- A TV
If you have one of those new LCD Plasma most have and RGB/PC plug on the back
- plug cable into splitter if you have a laptop skip to step 2
- plug cable into tv ( you will be able to hook it in to the side or back of laptop)

∙ 14y agoYou will required a RCA cable to transmit the visual signal from your PC to your TV as long as you have the connection on the rear of the TV and an standard audio cable with a 3.5mm jack to transmit the audio signal You need to have the relevant connection on your TV. basically look on the rear for audio input and the RCA or PC connection. It looks similar to a printer port.
