HTML Code -HTML uses a hyperlink to link to another document on the Web. The Anchor Tag and the Href Attribute HTML uses the <a> (anchor) tag to create a link to another document. An anchor can point to any resource on the Web: an HTML page, an image, a sound file, a movie, etc. The syntax of creating an anchor: <a href="url">Text to be displayed</a> The <a> tag is used to create an anchor to link from, the href attribute is used to address the document to link to, and the words between the open and close of the anchor tag will be displayed as a hyperlink.
To create a link to another document, you must associate text (or graphics) with a URL. This is done with the anchor tag. In this case, the anchor tag takes the following form: text The "A" denotes an "anchor" and the "HREF" denotes a hypertext reference. Note the URL is enclosed in quote marks.
You must first check to see if the web address you want is available. You can go to a domain registration site such as www.networksolutions.com and enter your desired domain name to see if it is available. If it is, then you purchase the exclusive use of that domain name for whatever time period you want (usually 1 to 10 years). After you purchase your domain name, it is for your exclusive use until your registration expires. To associate that domain name with your website, you first place the files that make up your website on a web server (usually people employ the services of a Web Hosting company rather than set up and run their own web server), then you obtain the DNS information (these will be IP addresses of the server where your pages are stored) from your hosting provider. You go back to the registrar where you reserved your domain name (such as Network Solutions) and update the information on your domain to point to those DNS servers. The change can take up to 48 hours before your URL will point to your website, but usually it is much faster than that.
Depends on what program you use, if it is your web address or someone else's. If you just want a basic hyperlink for any web address on the internet copy and paste the address into word and press enter twice.

A link or hyperlink contains the address of a website or a particular webpage on a website. You will find links on websites, blogs, in emails, PC documents, etc.If a link is a direct link, then the website or webpage address specified in the link is, indeed, what the search engine will send to your browser. You can see the actual address when you hover the cursor over the link.A website owner can create a redirect or a redirect link. Let's suppose you click on a link that specifies a file at: www.example.com/page1.html. When you click on the link, the search engine goes to the website and first looks at a special file to see if there are any redirects or other instructions. The website owner can specify in this file that when a visitor requests www.example.com/page1.html - the search engine should instead send to the browser www.example.com/page44.html. Or a completely different website could be specified. So, in our example above, when you click on the link for page1.html, the search engine goes to the website, looks in the special file, sees that it is supposed to fetch page44.html instead of page1.html, and does, indeed, send www.example.com/page44.html to your browser to display instead of the address specified in the original link.
