click on Insert tab to expand, look for Symbols section on right side, press arrow below Symbol, if you don't see degree in list, then press More Symbols... or another way would be pressing alt and the plus sign on the right side of the number key board
Go to Insert > Symbol. From there you can locate the degree symbol and insert it into your Word document.

Try these short-cut keys: Press down control (Ctrl) + shift + = then type o which should appear as a superscript degree symbol. Repeat the short-cut keys once more to escape from superscript and return to the normal font. I know this works on Word 97, so I assume it still works on the later versions.
go to image, and then click symbol. you then need to browse the different symbols until you find the degrees symbol. press insert and it will appear on the screen.
If you go to Insert and Symbol, you will find the degrees symbol there.
You have to use upper toolbar - Insert - Symbol.
In Word 2000-2003, use the Insert>Symbol command. The copyright symbol is below the number 4, fourth row down. In Word 2007-2013, click on the Insert tab of the Ribbon, find the Symbols group at the right end and click on Symbol. The copyright symbol is usually in the top row. You can also type (c) and Autotext will change it into the copyright symbol automtically.
In MS Word 2007/2010 go to Insert > Symbol and choose pound symbol to insert at current cursor location.

Many programs will autocorrect (c) to the copyright symbol. Otherwise, you can insert a symbol from the keyboard map. In Microsoft Word, for example, select "Symbol" from the "Insert" menu.
In Word 2007 there is a picture icon in the Insert ribbon, in Word 2003 and older you find Insert > Picture in the menus.
Where are you typing it? In a MS Word document go to "Insert" on the menu bar, click on "symbol" and scroll down until you see the micro symbol and click on it. In MS 2003 it's about 8 lines down in that menu.
In word, go to insert symbol, Basic Latin (and others) to find the symbol |.
