You need to release the tension on the tensioner pulley. I have found using a socket with a ratchet handle to be an easy way to do this. Once the pulley is retracted the belt can be slipped over this pulley to finish the installation. Follow the diagram, which is normally shown on the front panel nearby for proper routing of the belt.
That is simply how to remove the belt to replace it you must remove passenger front tire.There is a plastic shield in wheel well you remove to access front of motor.On the bottom of engine motor mount there is an 18mm nut remove it .there is a torque bolt left you can remove it with an 8 mm socket.The spacer behind mount comes out and you can put the belt on front of motor.you can use the upper part of this answer to replace belt.I did this because nowhere could I get a complete explanation this is on 95 Buick park ave
