Once this is installed you simply need a webcam viewing program (commonly bundled with camera) or a program such as netmeeting, msn messenger, Yahoo messenger, etc that will interface with it.

Then you have to put a compact disc (which is abbreviated as CD) in the CD driver. This is the CD that came with the World Wide Web. It is called a driver CD. You have to follow the instructions which are given in the CD.

Most new cams are "plug n play" .
You need to be in a program that rrequires it to activate however. Like skype or msn,
If you just plug it in most do not display.

∙ 12y agoIf you want an external web cam, you most likely use a USB port after you install the drivers associated with the camera. If you want to build it in (to a laptop), you most likely need to go to a computer store or (more easily) you can have it pre-installed before you buy a computer.
