Tabs come with Google Chrome, nothing to install. But if you mean OPENING a new tab, there is a little button to the right of your current tab with a + sign, click that and a new tab opens up.
Google Chrome plugins are called "extensions". To find them or add them, go to the small spanner in the top right of the browser and open the options. Select the extensions option and tick the developer mode check box. You will be shown what extensions are loaded and given the option to install more.

You drag it into the plugins folder. If you want plugins in your minecraft server use bukkit, not the vanilla minecraft server.
If your Firefox browser doesn't remember entries on forms despite selecting that option, check to make sure that you have the latest version of Firefox. Also make sure that you don't have any plugins enabled that are interfering. If you aren't sure, temporarily disable all of your plugins and test forms. Add the plugins back one at a time to find the one causing the problem.
