How do you install two hard drives with only one operating system?

[Edit]

Answer

You could set them up as a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Drives). So data would be distributed between the two drives, and they would behave as though they were one drive. This increases the speed of reading and writing to the drives, and increases file integrity.
