It is a common misconception that in Freemasonary you are asked to join, you don't volunteer. In fact, you can only join a Masonic lodge if you do volunteer. But you will have to locate someone to ask. In Tanzania there is St. Andrew's Lodge under the Scottish Constitution, and a number of Lodges under the English Constitution, all in Dar. And also there are lodges in Tanga, Moshi and Arusha. Be aware that membership is not automatic, and the Lodge may reject your application for membership. With some Lodges, an interested person must show continued interest even after being rebuffed before he is accepted.
