How do you get a death claw as a pet on Fallout 3?

You can get them as pretty much allies and get them to follow you via console commands, or editing the game using the G.E.C.K on the PC. Any other way I could think of getting one to follow is by getting that frequency thing that one of the scribes give you as something to help you for the Old Olney quest. It will cause the Deathclaw to start following you. Followers would not interfere with this.

The best ways to kill Deathclaws are as follows: for Fallout 3- peg a Deathclaw with the dart gun, then from close range, continuously use the flamer on them as they will be weakened from the dart gun. for Fallout: New Vegas- if you see a Deathclaw, immediately crouch, take out an Anti-Material Rifle with incendiary ammo, and shoot them in the head.

the easiest way in an un-modded Fallout: New Vegas is to use an Anti-Material Rifle. You can usually obtain one from Caravans or the Gun Runners shop.

If you're talking about the quarry, what I did was scale the left side of the mountain by Sloan. Once I got around the corner I was perched on a rock. They couldn't attack me. I used the 50 cal to 'snipe' them. If you crouch down it's easier to focus. They'd run around after first hit. You have to be patient and wait for them to run back on the screen. There's 2 'boss' deathclaws in there who are large and hard to take down. Once you 'snipe' all the other ones running around, you can climb up the quarry belts to get a better view and 'snipe' the rest of the leftovers including the boss. Be careful cause if they see you they will charge. If you go after the 'Mother' deathclaw don't kill her babies first, she'll go into a frenzy and if you're on the ground you're toast! Power fist is useless because there's so many of them 10 or more.

To kill everyone in Fallout New Vegas, you will need more than just your standard hunting rifle. As most enemies in FNV are quite powerful, you will need to be atleast level 20 before even considering this. Firstly you must have a good collection of weapons such as

- Euclid C finder

- YCS/186 (Or a standard Gauss rifle)

- Recharger Pistol

- Ballistic or Power fist

You will also need a good suit of power armour, these can be easily obtained by completing the quest Still in the Dark or For auld lang syne in which you will be given power armour training.

Firstly you will need to target the large factions, such as The strip, the Legion, NCR and The Brotherhood. Once all of these factions have been killed, you can then easily pick off the survivors and live in your own peaceful world.
