The chemical you use can depend on how much grass you want to kill and where it is located, such as a big area in your yard or grass in the cracks of a sidewalk.

There are some natural products that kill grass, too. Some say that pickling vinegar, which is stronger than white vinegar, will kill anything it is sprayed on and, of course, it is safe to use around children and pets. Many stores that carry chemical grass killers also carry organic ones, and organic seed companies sell them, too.
