You cant just find out by looking at it, you have to research it in a book or a website.

Um, well, the only real way to know is if yoiu can identify the species of snake and know whether it's poisonous. Or if it bites you and you don't bleed to death but you die anyway, it's proably poisonous
Seriously, however, most(but not all) poisonous animals have bright yellow, orange, or red markings. However, you SHOULD NOT ASSUME A SNAKE IS NOT POISONOUS BECAUSE IT DOES OT HAVE THESE!
