Can someone help with a confusing iphone service question?
So, this is my first time using wikianswers so I didnt know where to put the explanation. Anyways im kind of in a pickle here. I currently have the iphone 3gs and want to upgrade to the iphone 4 but im not eligible to upgrade with a full discount until march 2011 (as the *639# says). However im on a family plan and one of my family members phone is available for the upgrade. I know I can upgrade his phone and then switch the SIM cards around, but im wondering if we can stop the data plan for my current iphone somehow, or switch it with the new plan, or if I can just take his upgrade to my phone. the main issue is that we don't want to pay for 2 data plans. someone please help!

No, they will however fix or replace it if you're under warrenty. Depending on your carrier however, you may get a discount to upgrade to the Iphone 5 if it can't be fixed. I know AT&T will give a discount if it's broken, not sure about if you're just having problems. I also don't know what other carriers will do.
