How do you know if you are pregnant if you have an abnormal period? |

Answer
Take a home test or go see a doctor for a blood test.
Answer
Of course taking a Home PG Test will verify your question, however, if you chart every day, 18+ high temps above your coverline should tell you that you have ovulated and that you are indeed pg. I have very irregular periods, they vary year to year. Over the past three years, after getting off of the pill for my irregular periods, I started marking my start and stop dates of my periods and have noticed I have between 4 and 6 periods a year and they vary from 1 month between to 3+ months between, I had no way of telling.
Recently, I came upon this book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, MPH (www.ovusoft.com). Since reading this book, I have become more in touch with my cycles. Even if your not trying to conceive, charting and checking your vaginal/cervical fluids daily can help you understand what is going on with your body, the steps your body takes before ovulating, when your the most fertile, and much more. Until I read this book, I had no idea what the difference between creamy white discharge and slippery, eggwhite discharge, I thought it was all the same. I even found out that ovulation kits are almost completely useless for those with irregular cycles. Once ovulation has ocurred, it's probably too late to conceive. And if you ovulate differently every cycle, what's the purpose of speding $30 on a kit to find out that it's too late to conceive.
I highly recommend this book for pregnancy achivers and for pregnancy avoiders. This book is very helpful in understanding your cycle, even if you are abnormal/irregular. - sinder_7@yahoo.com
