basically ADHD is hyperactivity like you can easily get distracted but I would not advise you to take any pills because that can only last for a little while and its also when you are very talkative i would know because i have it its not easy to live with but you'll soon understand it was meant fir the best.

You can go visit a Doctor Who can help you when trying to find out if you have ADHD. The best way to find a reliable doctor is by going to www.YourCity.MD. There are patient testimonials, doctor ratings, and much more. I really suggest it!

(I helped your grammar...it was a little off.)

If you have ADHD you're hyperactive, if you have ADD you're not. You still have problems paying attention, but unlike people with ADHD, you don't have the urge to move all the time and/or act on impulse.

stimulant drug therapies are the most effective line of treatment known for the management of ADD/ADHD. however, if stimulant drugs like Ritalin or Adderall aren't appealing to you, for ethical reasons or because of side effects, there is also Strattera, which is a new non stimulant drug therapy for ADHD. however, studies done on the effectiveness of strattera VS adderall or Ritalin consistantly show that the stimulant drugs are nearly 40 percent more effective VS placebo. if drugs aren't your cup of tea PERIOD, then some talk therapies or neurofeedback programs can be of use. look up neurofeedback centers on Google or wikipedia, and you can find one near you.

Hi, well first thing you could do is ask yourself if you really need medication (EX. "Will my grades improve if I were to take medication?", "Would taking medication help me organize myself in school, work, etc.?" or "How will it affect my life?") Next thing you can do is to go see a doctor and get a subscription (If you answered negative to the question(s) you asked yourself, this may not apply to you) Now if you do get subscribed medication, study yourself when your on the medication (actions, thoughts, emotions etc.) and if you are not satisfied then talk something out with your doctor and get new meds, or maybe raise/lower the dosage. You do not have to do what i wrote to do, I'm just trying to be helpful. -Shrimpo

Get tested young and work with the meds at a young age. When people reach the teen years they think the ADHD feelings are normal and most won't take the medications because it makes them feel different.

There are two clusters of symptoms associated with ADHD. One is the "cognitive" cluster - features like distractibility, difficulty maintaining focus, inattention in a lecture or long conversation. The other cluster is the "behavioral" group and includes the observable symptoms like restlessness and hyperactivity and impulsivity.

A skilled clinician will talk with you about your life. They will probably walk through a checklist of symptoms but even more important is: what are your MAIN concerns? What's keeping you from doing the typical things people your age can do? What's keeping you from doing the things you want to do and dream of doing?

He or she will then ask you some directed questions. If they really know what it's like for individuals with ADHD they'll know the kinds of situations which will be the biggest challenges and they'll probably direct the conversation to those areas.

He or she will be interested to make sure it's not one of the many conditions that look like ADHD but aren't. Things like depression, post-trauma anxiety reactions, substance use/abuse, head injury, and learning disabilities. They might do formal testing or they might not, but they'll be interested in forming an impression of your general skills and weaknesses. In other words, they'll want to know whether their client has an across-the-board problem or the more specific challenges of ADHD.

There are lots of ways to be inattentive and unfocused. ADHD is a very specific way. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental (occurs early in life) disorder (meaning, it's really different from "typical") that impacts students' or adults' ability to sustain focus and inhibit distractibility with a task that's hard or uninteresting (so....playing Video Games for 3 hours = easy; doing math homework or tax paperwork for 15 minutes = hard).

If you find out that you do meet critieria for this specific way of being inattentive and unfocused, there are great resrouces and support. You might start with an ADHD coach. You might talk with knowledgeable teachers, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, counselors, as well as parents and individuals with the condition. You might talk with your doctor about medication options.

On a final note, don't forget to find out about some of the really great characteristics that many people with ADHD share. Give yourself credit for creativity, spontaneity, and ability to work well under a deadline. And make the most of your positive qualities while you figure out some solutions to the challenges of restlessness and inattention.

Nobody can have it! ADHD is a fake condition made up by a drug company! They can come up with a new drug and No use for it! So they made up this fake condition and keep paying greedy ones to falsely label people with it! The doctors that label and prescribe this are Breaking Laws! Best if you run from whom ever is trying to make you so!

Pray to GOD about this!
