First, you need to understand that you will never need to add Freon to your AC system if there are no leaks or a leak anywhere in the AC system. The only time you run low or lose all the Freon is if there's a leak like I just said. Secondly, when your AC system stops blowing cool air, several things could be bad. (1) Freon leaked out because of a small opening or loose connection somewhere. (2) Compressor clutch is warned out. (3) The compressor itself is broken. Issue (1) Fix; the leak must be fixed before you recharge the system with Freon. Again, you will never run out of Freon unless there's a leak in the system. If you don't fix the leak, they'll escape again after the recharge and you'll continue to recharge the system indefinitely or at least until the leak is fixed. Issue (2) Fix; replace the clutch as they wear out just like the clutch on a manual transmission. Issue (3) Fix; repair or replace the compressor. Hope this helps!
