You might need glasses when you are small- if you cross your eyes on accident when you are looking at somebody you need glasses. If you do that now then you need glasses. You could be far or near sighted. If you can see far away you are far sighted if you do the opposite you are near sighted. It is possible that you are both, they make special glasses for that. They are split in the middle horizontally. Go to your eye doctor and they will decide your sight. now I crossed my eyes by accident when I was 10 so therefore, I need glasses. but only for reading but I keep them on any way . so if you are a kiddy looking at this don't do what i did cos new glasses at school makes you a laughing stock
As peoples eyes age they find it difficult to change from long distance to short distance focussing and reading glasses are basically magnifying lenses with a longer depth of field than ordinary magnifiers.
If you start to notice that after reading for an hour, you are tired out by the reading, or that in some indefinable way, the reading you do just isn't "comfortable" any more like it always was, you are on the verge of your first pair of glasses, usually. A person who would say: "I never had any problem reading, but now it actually strains my eyes" is way, way overdue for an optometrist visit. Assuming you are not just overtired from a long day or the like, when you first notice that extensive reading isn't as effortless or comfortable as it used to be - see your eye doctor.

About 60 percent of the population of Canada wears glasses at some point in their life. Some of these people only wear glasses at night or when reading.
I don't see why not. I wore contacts several years ago and found that I couldn't read comfortably with them in. So, I wore reading glasses to compensate. I didn't do this long, as the glasses and contacts together gave me a headache, but as long as you aren't in any distress, I doubt that it will be a problem.
In order to get a prescription for glasses you need to see an Optometrist. They will examine your eyes and determine how powerful you glasses should be or even if you need glasses at all.
I think the best thing to do would be to just tell them the truth. It is not something you can hide if you need to wear you glasses all the time. If you do not tell them, then you take the risk of them finding out by themselves and you would be in even more trouble.
I like venti20 Fashion Reading Glasses.

Older people are way more likely to use reading glasses. As a person ages, everything in their body starts getting older. This includes eyesight. Older people just need a little more magnification when reading.
Most drugstores and supermarkets with pharmacies will have a rack of reading glasses with various magnification strengths (usually between level 1. to level 2.5), styles, and price points available. Once you have determined what strength you need, you can also purchase reading glasses at Amazon, Readers.com or another site that ships your glasses directly to you. Be aware that you can end up with a pair of reading glasses with a flawed lens if you are buying cheap reading glasses online so try to use a reputable vender with a guaranteed return policy.
