How do you know if your best guy friend has feelings for you?

This is truly a tough question. It's great having a good male friend, but somewhere along the line (as we mature) usually that friend begins to look better and better to us, because actually, what is happening is you both have the qualities that make for a good marriage. Friends first, lovers 2nd. I've had a few great male friends, but one in particular "Skip" was a person I could "just be me" with and tell him anything. All inhibitions were put aside on both parties. We went out together and had the time of our lives (thinking we were both just good old buddies) but he started to care for me on a romantic level and I unfortunately, just didn't feel that chemistry between us. It almost cost us our friendship. Luckily it didn't and I am still very close friends to him and his wife since 1968. Your best guy friend obviously likes you, but the question you are really asking is .. have things changed and does he love me (perhaps you love him too.) It's worth the risk to have an honest talk with him and tell him as casually as you can (no pressure) that you feel more for him than you use too and how about trying to go out on a real date. See what he has to say to that. If he says he just wants to remains friends, then do so, and don't risk a great friendship because of your/his feelings. There is always that percentage that says he may feel the same way about you and is too shy or too afraid to ruin your friendship my mentioning it and being friends is better than not seeing each other at all. you KNOW when your best friend likes you when: he wants to be alone with you more often. he touches you more then normal. he goes above and beyond for you. he treats you better then your other friends. he looks into your eyes differently... tough question

You can tell if your best guy friend has feelings for you if he starts getting mad or upset that your hangingout with other guys, or if he starts acting diffrent and flirty around you when its just you and him hangingout, trust me this has happend to me before.
