Yes, it's very good to give him space. Give him as much as he needs. Show him that you are not too attached or clingy or desperate to have him back. Try to talk to him often as good friends and show him what he is missing out if he is not dating you. Also, figure out why he broke up with you and try to fix it? Show him how amazing you are, and show him you're fun and right for him!
