How do you know when it's time to get a fill in for acrylic nails?

Your natural nail will began to grow and the acrylic will stay attached to the nail. When the acrylic has separated from the nail bed and you can see your natural nail its time. You may get a fill in every two weeks.

acrylic nails aren't that bad for your nails they work really good if u wanna break the habit of biting them but.. after you have them on for a long time they make your nails really thin... and just to do the simplest tasks can make your nails bleed. ^ false. Keeping acrylic nails on will not make your nails thin. You must keep up with fills every 2-3 weeks and take care of your nails. ( don't use them as tools, don't bite them off, etc)

If the nails are removed professionally then it is usually fine but if you rip them off yourself in some cases it can cause your nail to go brittle or rip the nail underneath. They are generally fine though as long as you don't wear them all the time

Here is more information about Gel and Acrylic nail http://www.nikanails.com/en/gel_or_acrylic_nails.htmlI'm a nail technician and to be honest, they're both going to damage your natural nail bed.Acrylic and wraps can be soaked off with acetone, but Gels must be clipped or filed off.I would not recommend Gel unless you plan on keeping up with it, and having it filled every 2 weeks.For a one-time application, I would go with just tips alone, or press ons. they will cause the least amount of damage, but if you want something a little stronger, go with the silk wraps.I personally prefer acrylic to wraps or gels. It's stronger than gel and lasts longer than wraps.
