You will experience intermittent cramping similar to period cramps they will come & go & eventually get worse & closer together, or you may have back labor which would be a dull ache in your lower back that continues to get more intense.
You may lose your mucous plug, you might have a "bloody show", your water may break, but not always!
You may experience a fullness or achy sensation in your pelvic floor or rectal pressure, like you have to have a bowel movement, but it just doesn't seem to go away.
Just remember to stay calm, relax & keep moving around it will help your labor go faster....you can also check out my post on techniques to make giving birth easier.....best of luck to you! ;)

There is no way to get labor going until your body is naturally ready for it to happen. You can however choose to work your baby lower into your body by walking or doing labor exercises.

In general, labor is not induced in horses because of serious complications and a lack of a predicable effect of labor-inducing drugs.
No, it pops out because her belly gets that swollen. When she's going in labor her water will break, and she'll feel constractions in her belly. It's also possible that she gets 'practice constractions' those are pretty scary, because you don't know what's happening and wether or not she's going into labor. But she'll feel the difference.
