In Sims 3 how do you get your sim to garden?

Handiness can be learnt by reading the Handiness book in a book shelve or by tinkering certain objects like the toilet, shower, sink, computer, etc. To improve gardening, you can buy vegetables from the grocery store and plant them (go into your Sim's inventory and click 'Plant (Many)'). After that you can watch the gardening channel.

Then u can read a gardning book get to level 1 or read as much as u want

Afterthat u cn buy some sees or watch the gardening channel or find some seeds

i'm just going to make this easier to understand with actual spelling and grammar T_T. First of all, you must be a teenager, young adult, adult, or elder. Then you must buy and read the gardening book from the book store to improve your skill to level 1. To upgrade from there, you can choose from 3 options; read the book "MORE MORE MOOORE!!", watch the gardening channel on the tele, or you can buy seeds and sow them. *NOTE* You can only buy seeds/ watch the tele channel once you have reached skill level 1. Look around your town for seeds, or you can go to the store and buy whole fruits or veggies and you can plant them, however you'll need to find the seeds for rarer plants like money trees. You can use the collection helper to aid you with that, (purchased with Lifetime Happiness points). Or you can enter the cheat code, (by hitting [Control]+[Shift]+[C]) and type 'TestingCheatsEnabled True', and then go to buy mode and enter the cheat code 'buydebug', and in buy mode under the category tab, you should find a new category in the bottom right corner that can let you "purchase" mature plants, if you would rather not wait, and they have all of them, even Life Fruit.
