Why do you want to tell your teacher to begin with? Do you want attention? You have low self-esteem and that is one reason you brought harm to yourself because you want attention. You can get attention by excelling in your school studies. Concentrate your energies into something positive that you and your parents and teacher can be proud of. Your peers will admire you. If you keep doing self-harm, ask yourself why are you doing this. Is someone bothering you or driving you to do things you don't feel right about? If so, you must inform a trusted adult for assistance. This is a little more serious than attention getting and by the way it isn't attention getting! People harm themselves by carving their skin, cutting with razor blades (flesh wounds) scraping their skin with their finger nails, pulling their hair out, hitting walls with their fist. They want to feel pain to just know they feel something. Please see a good therapist for your problem. It sounds like you are trying to find someone you can trust. If you can't go to your parents then go to your school counselor (it's confidential!) Please get the help because the longer you wait the worse it will get. There are thousands of people such as yourself so don't be embarrassed to reach out for help. Good luck!
