How do you lose weight fast? |
How do you lose weight fast, in a healthy way, and keep it off?
- Cut out refined (processed) carbohydrates.
- Stop drinking soda, and you lose 13 pounds in one year.
- Switch regular potato chips with baked chips. But no chips would be best.
- Add low carbohydrate fruits and vegetables to your diet.
- Don't starve yourself. Eat slowly, this helps to make you feel full.
However, do not give yourself treats unless you truly know that you will work off the calories consumed. Losing weight fast for the short term, calls for cutting back consumption of food. This has the effect of quick weight loss mainly in the form of water. This is not a permanent solution and usually results in weight gain thereafter. For long-term weight loss, eat at least five small balanced meals every day short of satisfaction, do not clear your plate if you feel satisfied, and use all the suggestions on this page.
- Eliminate refined carbohydrates from your diet.
- Rotate your foods so that you do not eat the same food often, because your body could get used to a certain food routine. (Calorie shifting).
- Stay away from fast food and fried foods.
- Drink lots of water.
- Engage in brisk walking (cardio) exercise and weight training.
For example, proper weight training will increase lean muscle. (Do not worry; you will not develop huge muscles.) Lean muscle is your metabolic furnace that will burn extra energy (calories) 24 hours a day, and not just when you are exercising. If you were to add muscle, your body would burn additional calories daily.
Similarly, brisk walking (cardio exercise) for several miles daily will burn extra calories during and immediately after walks. (Before changing your physical habits, you may wish to obtain the blessing of your physician.)
