Just using a dehumidifier won't work, because the dehumidifier actually warms the room. For a relatively small room surrounded by cooler, drier air, it may be possible to duct that air in from the outdoors or from drier rooms to help cool the area. For a larger room where the surroundings are also either humid or warm, it will be necessary to air-condition it.
If there is a large source of humidification in the room--if, for instance, it contains a swimming pool or jacuzzi--it will be necessary to use a dedicated dehumification and air-conditioning system.

The incubating eggs should have 60 to 65% humidity for the first 18 days and then humidity should be increased to 70 to 75% for the final 3 days of hatch. This reduces moisture loss inside the shell and allows for good mobility when the chick begins to peep.
Humidity meters are used to measure the humidity outside. Typically, these would be placed on the outside of your house to accurately measure the humidity.
